Harpist K Roberts

Harpist - Karen Parker

Karen moved to Manchester in 1993 to study at the Royal Northern College of music where she was awarded an Exhibition Scholarship and 
the David Dunn (Yorke Trust) Prize.

Since graduating with Honours, Karen has been working as a freelance player in the North West with orchestras such as the Liverpool Philharmonic, Halle, Northern Chamber and Northern Sinfonia. She has also worked on UK tours for various Ballet, Viennese and pop companies.


      

 

Harpist Maxine

Harpist- Maxine Molin

Maxine appears regularly in leading hotels and restaurants around the UK as well as playing for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays, and corporate events. Her repertoire ranges from classical to popular and folk music.  Maxine also performs with various duos offering a combination of either flute, clarinet or oboe.
     

 

Harpist -  Rachel Dent

Rachel has given many recitals, including St Annís church, Manchester and as part of the Hull International Music Festival she has played with may orchestras including the Hallť Orchestra and Manchester Camerata.  In  addition to her Harp Studies, Rachel is a founder member of the Millennium Youth Choir and the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, with whom she has taken a World Tour.

  

 

 

Harpist Katherine Thomas

Harpist - Katherine Thomas

Katherine Thomas was born in Pontypridd, South Wales.  She began her harp studies with Alena Roberts and then Meinir Heulyn.  In 1991 she was awarded the Blue Riband in the National Eisteddfod and in 1992 she won the Nansi Richards Memorial Scholarship.  Katherine continued her studies at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, London where she studied with David Watkins.  Following graduation in 1996 Katherine was awarded with scholarships by both the Welsh Arts Council and the Countess of Munster Musical Trust, which enabled her to continue her studies abroad with Edward Witsenburg (Holland).
